The introduction of the ’05 marked the beginning of a new generation of Corvettes; the C6! Although there were a lot of similarities to the C5 underneath, the body, interior and engine were all new! For the first time since, ’62, exposed headlights made a return appearance. The car was shorter and narrower than the C5, but the wheelbase was longer, making for more interior room. New options included DVD base navigation, OnStar and satellite radio, heated seats, and seat-mounted side-impact airbags Keyless access and start was also a first.

Under the hood, the LS2 small-block increased in size from 346ci to 364ci and power went up from 350 to 400hp. Wheels and tire sizes also increased to 18?x8.5? 245/40ZR18’s in the front and 19?x10? 285/35ZR19 in the rear.
To top it off, Corvette paced the Indy 500 in ’05!
