2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - Black with Red & Black Interior, LS6 Engine, 6-Speed Manual Transmission
When the ZO6 was introduced in ’01 it became an instant classic with Corvette enthusiasts. The powers that be at Chevrolet did everything right with this one!
The Z06 was built on the Fixed Roof Coupe (FRC) platform, known for its strength and weight savings. At its heart is the powerful LS6 engine, delivering 405 horsepower, paired with a robust 6-speed manual transmission. The suspension was upgraded with a larger, hollow rear stabilizer bar, a stiffer rear spring, and revised front and rear camber settings for improved handling.
On the exterior, the Z06 featured a stainless mesh grille, functional brake cooling ducts on the lower rear fenders, and red-painted brake calipers. The unique Z06 wheel combination included non-run-flat Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires, with an included tire inflator kit in place of a spare tire.
Inside, the Z06 offered specially designed leather seats with dual-density bolster foam and "Z06" embroidery. A two-tone Black and Red interior was available, adding to the car’s striking look.
With its impressive power-to-weight ratio, race-inspired handling, and high-performance braking capabilities, the C5 Z06 remains a thrilling driving experience. Even today, it continues to be one of the best sports car values and is highly sought after by collectors and driving enthusiasts alike.
This particular 2004 Z06 is a one-owner vehicle with just 15,000 miles on the odometer. It features the sought-after two-tone Black and Red interior, paired with the Black exterior, making it the most desirable color combination. The 2004 model was the last year of the C5 generation and the final year for the Z06, marking the end of an era. Additionally, horsepower increased from 385 to 405, offering even more performance.
