Vehicle Description
Dark Green w/Saddle interior, L82 350/250hp, 4-speed manual transmission.
By 1974 things were starting to change in a big way with the automotive industry. Low-lead and soon to be unleaded fuels were being phased in. Starting in ’73, the federal government had mandated that all cars incorporate impact-absorbing 5 mph bumpers. The result was not a pretty sight, with most American cars sporting what looked like steel girders on the front and back in place of what once was stylish bumpers. However, there was one notable exception to this new rule . . . Corvette. Somehow the designers at the Corvette division of GM figured out a way to hide the steel “girders” behind a urethane cover. And the result was truly beautiful and one of the sharpest Corvette’s ever built!
This amazing and rare ’74 was purchased from the original owner. And we just acquired it from a collector client of ours,
The car had had been driven very little in the last 25 years. It’s been garage kept its entire life and therefore is in very good condition!
This was the first year for the new flexible rear bumpers, and GM did not have the bumper compound quite figured out yet.
The car is entirely original! And the fact that it’s an L82, 4-spd. makes it one of the most desirable ’74’s you could buy!
